I own a 4th generation family jewelry business in Portland, Oregon. We have been leaders in our industry for almost one hundred years. For months we were afraid to mutter the "R" word, now it's the "D" word.
We need IMMEDIATE help to get legs back under this economy. America's Economic Stimulus and Recovery Plan" is the only realistic plan that would give Americans a chance to invest, spend, pay down personal and or business debt, as well as pay for higher education. The longer we wait the worse the economy will get. If we try those tired old tax cuts, please FORGET IT because they simply will not work under these historical circumstances.
We are headed for a depression; so get moving now on approving the only emergency, macroeconomic stimulus plan that will save our Country.

America's Economic Stimulus and Recovery Plan is a solid fresh idea - surprisingly simple. Here is the thumbnail of the plan. For one year, the federal government would pay the banks the interest owed to them. After the year, everything would pick up right where it left off. The extra money people have would jump start the economy like nothing else. The banks would benefit too. Repossessions and foreclosures are nightmares for the industry. They want to get the money loaned with the interest agreed on - and they could with this plan. A 30 year mortgage would just be a 31 year mortgage.

It is a simple plan with the primary focus being Americans would not have to make monthly principle and interest mortgage payments for a one-year forbearance period. This plan will immediately give a boost to our economy and give new hope to a currently shattered and fragile American Spirit. | In my view Americas Economic Stimulus and Recovery plan is just what the doctor ordered. It is a win win situation for the banks and mortgage holders, as well as for hard working, patriotic Americans who need help to get through the next twelve months of uncertainty. Massive layoffs, bankruptcies and total despair - and those alternatives are just not acceptable. We must fight back economically!!!
